The Teroldego grape is a red wine grape, deep purple in color and rich in flavor. Due to it’s delicacy, the Teroldego grape has been mostly grown in its home region of northeastern region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, Italy and planted very little by comparison in other parts of the world. That’s what makes it so special and to be grown here in Hemet, California of all places. That also why we here at Tranquil Heart Vineyard are so very excited to bring it to you.
It has also been discovered by DNA testing that this particular grape is a relative, to the very popular Pinot Noir grape which is one of the most popular grapes to grow in California. Which is no surprise when you taste its bold and complex flavors. It is a very high quality wine with a deep purple hue and an exquisite mouth feel, it has a similar taste and texture to Petite Syrah. It is lovely paired with a gourmet meat or a simple cheese platter. In addition, our much loved Teroldego has long beautiful rivulets/legs that drape the glass which is further proof of the wines character. It is no surprise that Teroldego has become a member favorite.
