Our Dedicated Hands-On Process is What Determines the Fine Quality of Our Wines

From Vine to Bottle, Our Grapes Receive Meticulous Hands-On Care from Spring to Harvest.

Most people who enjoy wine rarely consider all that goes into it. Concerned about the quality of the entire process of producing craft-wines, not just growing fine quality wine grapes, founder Bill Shinkle determined the need for a winery. In the near future, Tranquil Heart Vineyard and Winery will truly be that, a vineyard and a winery. The equipment required for the production of wine is extensive. Based on our acreage, we will be producing approximately 15,000 bottles per harvest. We have a concise list of what is needed to create Bill’s vision; a de-stemmer crusher, fermentation bins, grape press, barrels, filtration and bottling line.

Bill’s original concept of having a vineyard–without a winery–changed when he realized there were so many people who wanted to visit the winery. If our grapes were produced elsewhere, quality control of our product could be an issue. Thus the reason we are so determined to have a winery on site.

“Having a winery on site ensures a better overall experience to our members as we will be fully responsible for every step of the production process and creating the highest quality wine. It will also enable us to produce new wines by importing the grapes from other vineyards” – Bill Shinkle, Founder

Then came the idea,If I’m going the have a premier vineyard and a state of the art winery, why not create a unique and compelling wine cave?” Bill’s vision is the constant thought of the members’ overall experience. The addition of our own winery will allow us the opportunity to host events and store wine which will significantly add to the members’ experience. Our own wine cave is scheduled to come in the future too.
